The basics are in bold. Feel free to skip through.
So. Tomorrow I'll be back at school. I'm kinda looking forward to it. Seattle is very pretty, but only if it's sunny. But downtown is fun. The Seattle Public Library is huge, made out of glass, and filled with cushy foamy chairs covered in rubbery stuff. Apparently, you're not allowed to put your feet on them, which I found out when a huge security guard informed me. The sidewalks are full of corporate people in the morning, but not too full. Enough to make the place seem very clean. Slowly the bums and crazy people appear over the course of the day and the business people disappear. Pike Place Market is cool. They really throw fish around. There are Vespas up for rent like in New York. Westlake Mall and the square around it is filled with fun stores. I bought some stuff.
But still.
I miss the Ambition Club. Well, they're not really called that, I made that up during break. I just call them that because it makes them sound more interesting. I mean, "My English Class" doesn't sound very exciting, does it? And Ambition Club suits them. I have never seen so many overachievers in one place. All the School President and Secretary people are all there. Homecoming Queen. The valedictorian candidates. The club leaders, sports captains, and music prodigys are all there. All of those people smushed into one class.
And then average me.
You'd think that I would hate them all. But I don't. I've known basically all of them since the first day we walked into our stupid private school as kindergarteners. We've all known each other forever, and familiarity can create friendship instead of contempt. Its crazy luck that all of my friends and I landed the same English class.
This stuff sounds crazy. I should write a book...
