Everyone repeat:
I can be different without feeling defective.
We're not created to be the same. Look around.
Even twins have different personalities and features.
It is near impossible to create exact replicas, even at a genetic level.
So why, in our darkest selves, do we lament our differences, treating them like defects?
Needing to belong is a strong psychological need. Overwhelming at times.
Needing to stand apart and feel special is too.
Thus, a duality exists...making life interesting and challenging.
