Even at 3 lbs., Zoey seems to be quite the escape artist...the nurses had her in a normal snuggly. She got out of that, pulled the tape off of her face, pulled entire vent tube out of her body, and tried to escape her pod! They found her in the corner of her pod, nothing attached to her, making her way to one of the portholes.
Mike fears she's going to be one of those out-of-the-bedroom-window-at-midnight teens.
Telepathically, I could hear her cries...
"I will not be detained!"
"Freedom! If they won't give me freedom, I'll get it myself."
"Enough of this crap, I'm back-packing to Europe."
When I last saw her, the nurses had her baby burrito style with a small bed sheet in addition to the snugly. She looked like a mini Houdini in a straight-jacket. She had already gotten out of that twice in one shift.
Of course, her heart rate and breath rate went down as a result of this ploy, but she proved to have a strong will and a desire for independence. Makes a parent proud.
