(no subject)
This is going to be a quick one, seeing as I'm on one of the school's computers and I feel like a bitch for using it to update my LJ when other people need it for real reasons. But my computer is being a reall big pain in the ass today.
I need some opinions on this.
I spent my English class this morning comparing drafts of a super-big paper we're all handing in on Monday. Mine dealt with adoption; partially adoption in regards to abandoned Chinese girls, with the one-child policy and all that jazz.
This is all a very controversial topic. But it was super important to my essay. So, I did far more than enough reading on it, and got the general consensus of the academic community on this one: the one-child policy equals abandoned girls, because, much as we'd like to believe people will say, "mmkay, a girl! Sounds good!", the truth is, it just doesn't happen.
Well. My paper got handed to the one Chinese student in the class.

I KNOW I'M NOT AN EXPERT. BUT I'VE CITED A ZILLION PEOPLE WHO ARE AND THEY ALL AGREE WITH ME .
