I. Hate. Midterms.

I just finished writing an in-class essay rebutting one of NARTH's oh-so-brilliant *eyeroll* essays. If you don't know what NARTH is, don't google it, it'll only piss you off. Rebutting is kind of hard when they haven't documented a single goddamn source for their arguments, and don't have a single argument that is comprehendable, let alone decent. My essay went thus:

A. Introduction
- Try to decipher what the points are supposed to be
- Sate the obvious: none of these make sense
- Try to formulate some thesis that isn't like being beat over the head with the Obvious Stick (not accomplished)

B. The first point is unsupported; don't pay attention to it.

C. The second point is unsupported; don't pay attention to it.

D. The third point is unsupported; don't pay attention to it.

...and so on. Made for a boring essay. While we're on the topic, let's think, shall we? Why can't NARTH find any credible sources to support themselves?

OH YEAH. Because nobody agrees!

I should be studying for my soci midterm, which is to come later today, and which I'm sooooo not ready for. But I studied all morning. Time for a break.

On the plus side, I get to go to Gabriola tonight to help Mark teach. I love Gabriola. Even if the club is infuriatingly Gabriola-ish (think weeds and beads; now think Confucianism. Yeah.), they're all super nice.
