why am i single?
story: this was taken on a ferris wheel in california adventure. and on this ferris wheel
half of the carts are on circular rails that you slide around on as the wheel turns
(like the popular "zipper" ride at carnivals). while we were waiting in line, some 13 year
old girl slammed her face against the grate and clinged to the side screaming to her friends
below "DO NOT GO ON THE SPINNING ONES. IT IS SOOOOO SCARY. DO NOT DO IT." so for the duration
of our 15 minute wait, we made of this girl relentlessly. and then we got on the ride. i
forgot i am afraid of heights, but i handled myself well. but amelia who is generally fearless
began SCREAMING and CRYING as the cart made its first slide down the rail and we rotated
around the ride. after each cart slides to the end of the inner rails, it keeps swinging
until it gets around to another bend. she continued to cry and laugh hysterically for the
rest of the ride because 1) she feared for her life, 2) she spent so much time making fun
of the 13 year-old-girl, and now she was much more scared than that girl had been.
i have never laughed so much at one persons pain in my life.
so, do not go on the spinning ones.
oh and calvin sent me a letter and mix. both will carry me through the rest of this week.
