Some news & Voting
We've reached and passed the deadline for submitting all your wonderful icons. I'm sad to say that enough people signed up for this challenge, but only half of the participants managed to submit their icons, which means we didn't get enough icon sets to vote LIMS style.
The fact that there are also participants fairly new to icon challenges, we don't feel comfortable voting someone out each round, fearing it might discourage people who just started iconing.
Which means:
Elizabeth Mitchell Turbo Lims is now Elizabeth Mitchell Rumble.
But what does that mean exactly?
It is similar to a "LIMS" or last-icon-maker standing community except you do not vote for the "least" icon. There are no negative votes or eliminations. Every one is allowed to stay in the round until the end (unless they choose to withdraw or drop out). The winners will be determined by the amount of points earned. The person with the most points wins first place, and the next second place and third place.
It's all about the points now. But how to get them?
1. You can earn a single point just by voting in every round on the icons you like best.
2. There will also be a special category to vote for each week. Special categories include things like "coloring", "crop" or some other critera.
3. If a tie should occur both participants will receive the points for the place they tied for. Exception - if a person ties with her/himself they will only be awarded the points once.
At the end of each voting period votes will be tallied and points will be awarded as so:
1st Place= 4 points
2nd Place= 3 points
3rd Place= 2 points
Special Category = 2 points
Mod's Choice= 1 point
You can add feedback why you like the icons you chose. I'm not gonna force you to do it but it would be a nice thing to do.
I hope the rules are clear, yes? If not, I'll open a "Question" thread to this post and hopefully will be able to make things clearer.
But now on to more pleasant things because 7 wonderful icon sets are still a lot of Liz gorgeousness and it's not your time to look closely (I know I don't have to tell you to look at her, you're all skilled at that :P) and vote for your favorite 3 icons + best crop.
Voting will end September 2nd at midnight CEST (Paris, France) >> countdown
Please do not vote for your own icon or ask others to do so.
