Veronica
appears on the island while walking on the beach near her apartment before school, and she's less than thrilled by what she initially suspects is an overly elaborate practical joke. It doesn't help that
that Ariel chick knows her name. But William Bush seems nice enough, if
less than convinced by Veronica's mad skillz.
The Compound seems nothing short of insanely suspicious to her, but she finds a bed. Rest and peace of mind are a wholly different question, though, and she spends the night lying awake and sleeping fitfully. She wakes up early, as Bush told her she should, and
joins the boat building crew, when Bush tells her to make rope. Right.
The next morning, she meets
Bill and
Chris, enjoys a muffin, and tries the coffee. She spends the day exploring the area of the island near the Compound, camera in hand, iPod in pocket, and then attends a meeting of the Dead Poets' Society, where she recites
Dorothy Parker's "Coda," which probably should be considered her general outlook on life particularly now that she's trapped on a desert island. Afterward, she wanders around some and
talks to Chris again.
Subject to change, as these threads are pretty much unfinished, but it's nice to have a place to keep all the links so I know where to look.
