( for a while all you see is a young woman looking down at the dreamberry. not that it's not a lovely sight- she's a very pretty young woman!- but it's a little boring. hungary found herself somewhere strange with a weird thing, and so decided to sit down and figure the dreamberry out; she's currently exploring the menus and reading things and so ( Read more... )

[hi there, he recognizes that very pretty looking young woman! He's not too sure why she looks rather tired and all that, though. Last he saw her, she looked perfectly healthy and all that. He's certainly surprised to see Hungary back here this early; she had left a while before, and while people leaving and arriving was nothing new to him at this point, it was a bit of a surprise. Especially given her appearance and whatever she was talking about. What are soviet things]

...Hungary? What on earth are you going on about?

( HALTS in the middle of what was building up to be a pretty impressive anti-soviet protest/rant! it takes her a couple of seconds to realize the voice is coming from the thing she's holding, even though she immediately recognizes it of course.

actually it's the surprise of that that stops her as much as anything. sure, she's spoken to him once or twice by phone, and seen him from a distance, and exchanged letters- but all in all her contact with austria has been pretty sparse these past few years. ) A- Austria?

Wait! He kidnapped you, too? …Did you get annexed again? This is all because of our plan, isn't it… ( NOT SURE HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT THIS well okay she doesn't like it but already she's trying to figure out politically how far she can go to rescue him, and the part of her that's still bitter is kind of going ehhh. )

[while an anti-socialism/marxism/whatever rant would be something Austria would approve of, he isn't sure this would be the appropriate time for that. Since, you know, he still doesn't know what Hungary's going on about. What is this about plans and annexing and Russia. Sure, Russia was pretty much a gigantic douche sticking his nose where it didn't belong (AKA where Austria didn't want it), but he didn't remember Hungary ever being kidnapped. That's almost more important than the whole 'lol Somarium' thing at the moment, actually.]

I suppose I'm to take that as you not remembering your previous stay here, then. I'm afraid I don't understand anything you've said, Hungary; what's this about Russia kidnapping you and annexation?

( she has to bite back something along the lines of great, of course you'd forget, since she is still a little bitter even if she's been making great strides lately! and besides, that just doesn't… seem like him, honestly, and she does know that. also: previous stay? )

You're the one who isn't making any sense… I don't know where I am, so how could I have been here before?

It's a common occurrence here, sadly. This place is called Somarium. Occasionally those that leave here come back with no recollection of having been here before. I assure you you've been here in the past.

I assure you I haven't! ( okay that one did come out rather cross. )

[oh wow, we can do that, too.]

And yet, as I've been here for the past two and a half years, I can say with the utmost confidence that you have. Whether you believe me, is, of course, up to you. However, why on earth would I have any reason to lie about such a thing?

Who knows why you do anything. ( but with less emotion. she does know that he has no reason to lie. and this doesn't seem like his kind of lie anyway. besides, some of the stuff she's read kind of matches. DEEP BREATH.

…hold up. ) -You haven't been here two and a half years, I just spoke to you yesterday.

This sort of thing is common in Somarium, I'm afraid. People can be taken from different points in time, and, well, that happens, as well. [it's kind of annoying at times, really.]

Ask anyone else that's been here for some time, I'm sure they will corroborate what I've just said.

( luckily this is hetalia so she can be a little "oh well" about weird things and move on to the important stuff like: ) - So, you're… saying you're from… two and a half years before we started talking again? And then you just didn't mention coming here… in… the present? ( hesitation as she tries to figure it out in her head. )

Before we started talking again? [you've got him all confused now, Hungary. Give him a second while he tries to work this out now.]

Perhaps you can clarify things for me. What year was it before you arrived here?

16 August, 1989. ( she can't help but sound a little curt because we have been planning for months austria she's a little miffed he doesn't know/remember/whatever. )

Well, that would certainly explain more than a few things, then. [not that he still isn't confused by a lot of what Hungary's been saying, but. Now he knows why he's confused.]

Would it? Are you going to say it's not?

Precisely. I did say Somarium is known for taking people from different time periods, did I not? It was early 1914 back home when I arrived here.
