Lordi. Again.

Yesterday we had a big celebration on Helsinki's biggest market square for Lordi and Eurovision. The papers say there were over 90, 000 people there, and from my viewpoint it did indeed seem so, at least when we left the place and it took half an hour to get to the railway station (usually takes about five minutes) because you couldn't move, and ( Read more... )

Buah, that's insane. It sounds like an AWESOME time, though.

*completely envious, by the way*

And... Oh my god. Perhaps it was out of morbid curiosity, but I went and downloaded Hark Rock Hallelujah?

...I've now listened to it on repeat for ten minutes. *hides*

*laughs* You rock big time! :D Wow! It's not like Hard rock hallelujah is the best song in the world or anything, but it was so utterly different from all the other entries in the contest that it's a big hit because of that. :p Haha, it's amusing to imagine a Newfoundlandian now listening to the song somewhere on the other side of the Atlantic. *hugs* This is great. :)

It's oddly addictting, I'll give it that. Definitely one of those guilty pleasure songs. XD

And man, I went and downloaded a bunch of stuff from this year's Eurovision (again probably out of morbid curiosity, ha), and.. well, some of it I like better than others (and some I don't understand :P) but it's all totally different than the music I'm used to hearing. Now I kinda wish I could get the contest over here, or something. XD Oh well, I'll just have to live though the internet!

(That girl from... Belgium, was it? With all the dance-type songs? I really like her.)

Aww, it's so sad you can't watch Eurovision. :( It's great entertainment. I've heard that they're going to start a similiar contest in the USA next year, though - that is, between the American states. I wonder if they'll call it Amervision... ha. But it would really be better if Canada could take part in it as well and then you'd win every year. Now there's something I'd watch. :p Go Canada!

That girl from... Belgium, was it?
Probably Kate Ryan. Yeah, her song was okay, but she didn't even get to the finals. Everyone probably thought that everyone else was going to vote for her anyway and thus didn't vote - alas, she didn't qualify. Poor girl. :p
