1. Sadie Hawkins! Oh my goodness, it was so much fun. For our Morning/Day activity, we all went up to Big Cottonwood Canyon and made french toast! I was chased by bees while holding the sausage plate, and the guys started a fire from fifty spent matches. Pyros. Then we took a ten-minute hike up the side of the mountain. Easy, but steep! I was okay going up, and I only had to use my date a couple of times to get there safely. Then we sat on top of the bit we climbed to, which had a beautiful view of the road and a powerline.... XD But it was fun. And then we had to climb -down- the mountain... And I held Taylor's hand prettymuch the whole way down as he kept me from falling. He's the type that usually runs down mountains... But he stayed behind with me and held my hand and told me I could step on his feet if I needed a secure spot and was just so patient! It was absolutely adorable and he's such a gentleman. I picked a good date.
For dinner, we all met at the Maceys parking lot and then each couple went and got the part of the meal they were assigned to. And, of course, we were dressed as our favorite era! Taylor and I were newsies! It was awesome, and Taylor wouldn't stop professing is newfound love for suspenders. Anyway, he and I won the main meal, and so we got fried chicken. I had to stop and explain to a few of my coworkers why I was dressed as a Newsie. I'm just glad Tyson didn't see me. XD Then we all went to Crestwood Park (AMAZING PARK!) and Taylor decided he didn't want to sit at the crowded picnic table with everyone, and so invited me to sit on the grass with him! No one followed us... So we just sat there alone. On the grass. Talking about random stuff. It was fun, and we just laughed when people made the "They just want to be alone!" comments.
And then we of course had to play on the playground! Taylor and I discovered that teeter-totters aren't so much fun when you're taller than three feet. But the swings were AWESOME! We got so giggly and bubbly as we swung way up high, our movements synchronized. I haven't swung in years... It's definitely one of the best things ever. Christine went camera happy and took some dang good candids of Taylor, and a couple of me that she claims I look like a model in (Yeah, a newsie model with her hair falling out of its braid. =/) The guys all picked flowers for us, and then we went off to the dance! Taylor was so happy that I'd let him open my door for me. He says all other girls he's taken on a date rush to their doors and won't let him open it. But I highly value chivalry, and so of course I let him! It was awesome. He's such a gentleman.
The dance was all right. Pictures should be awesome. I'll see if I can scan them when I get them. :D Our couples one I'm excited for. XD Taylor's all handing me a rolled-up newspaper with a flower in it. Yay! Went and acted crazy on the dance floor. Taylor and I only did one slow dance (he's not very good, actually. My joints killed halfway through the song), but he did have fun spinning me into Pascal. Other than that, we just grinned like the idiots we are. After the dance, we picked up a dateless guy and went to Austin's for peach cobbler. I was squished between our extra and Taylor in the backseat. XD And Taylor is -such- a dog lover. It's absolutely adorable to see him around dogs. Then we went to Jessica's for a movie. On the way there, Angie (our -innocent- Angie!) texted Taylor.
Angie: Why is your music fogging up?
Taylor: Huh?
Angie: Is it getting hot in your car? ;D
Taylor: Not really.... (I started supplying him with answers as we figured Kenner was telling her to text us. We thought Angie was innocent!)
Angie: Nevermind
Taylor: Is it getting hot in YOUR car?
lol. Then I say Taylor's background pic of his dog, Kara, and he proceeded to show me all of his pics, two thirds of which I think were of his dog. She's so cute though! And there's this so cute pic of Taylor asleep next to his dog. He said it was his favorite. lol. Once at Jessica's, we watched Princess Bride! I seriously think it's the best date movie. a) No one cares if you talk during it, because we've all seen it a million times, and b) Everyone's got it memorized and so we all say the lines as they're said. Oh, and c) Bearded Buttercup. Next time you watch it, the scene where they're rolling down the As You Wish hill... Watch it in scene-by-scene. XD Heehee. Taylor's favorite line of the movie is: "Why do you wear a mask? Were you burnt by acid or something?" XDDD Anyway, poor Taylor was so tired. We dropped him off just before midnight, but he was dozing off in the car already. That kid can sleep anywhere. Especially in AP Gov. Heh. But I walked him to his porch and we had a good hug. Then back in the car and I crashed into bed myself!
2. The next morning, Dan and Britt picked me up! Rick cooked a delicious breakfast for us, and then we went to church. It was fun. Those guys in Rick's class are hilarious. And Primary was all fun and cute. I Will Serve Sweetly in the Home! *pokes Britt to remember, lol* And then we came back and ate lunch and watched tv and I fell asleep during Survivorman, but Amy woke me up during the Pre-Survivor:China episode so I could see the cute mormon boy. XD I was so tired, but "dang, he -is- cute" and I was determined to stay awake. After some Psych, we came home and ate dinner and Rick helped me fill out Graduation Order Form stuff.
3. I am so excited for my Senior Tankard. I don't know why; it just looks awesome.
4. Five of us on Yearbook Staff went and interviewed the SBOs today. That was an adventure, but so fun. And I told Sam Burton that he reminded me of the Mac guy. He'd never seen the commercials! Can you believe it? But when we got back to Freeman's, he looked them all up on Youtube and just laughed. "Why do I remind you of him?" "I don't know, you just do." I didn't tell him because he's an adorable geeky guy who looks awesome in his grandma sweater and with his messenger bag. I love sitting next to him in Yearbook, though. We take turns forgetting how to mask a layer and then ask the other how it's done.
5. I'm doing blood drive tomorrow! I signed up to do it during Painting... And lo and behold! Lindsay Nelson and Taylor Jensen were signed up for the same time! It'll be a madhouse party. Taylor rocks. I think there's an unspoken agreement that we're good friends, although Angie told me after school today that we were so cute together. XD He's definitely more than good-looking, but I think our friendship is mutual and nothing more. :D
6. Oh man. Tomorrow's going to be crazy. Eighth period= blood drive! Right after school, I get to run to the Skills USA Meeting because Freeman won't tell me exactly what it's about, but he wants me to join and asked if I could come in for just five minutes. Then I have to run to musical rehearsal, which ends at 4:30, and I have work at 5. So I have to run home, change clothes, and then off to work until 10, where I will come home and crash. Crazy Dazy.
7. I keep wanting to push Apple S. You can't save a Livejournal Post, Leah! There's no need! It's Autosaved!
8. Dan and Britt came over and watched Single's Ward tonight! Amy had to leave early... But the Brames say they enjoyed it! Yaaay! :D Did you really like it, Britt? Or did it scare you away? lol. I love that movie. It's so... lame, but hilarious. Yay, Utah!
Well, I think that's all. Have a good night. *hugs to all*
