My last couple of entries have been sort of mundane, I know, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things here on LJ. I felt sort of weird bursting in after two year's radio silence and immediately posting about all kinds of personal things. There's plenty I'm dying to tell, though, so I promise it'll get better. :)

It's our lovely kitty, Luna! That picture was taken about a year ago, so she looks a little different now (a bit bigger and with longer fur). She's a Siberian Forest Cat. We originally looked into that breed because people who are allergic to cats can sometimes tolerate them better than other breeds, but as it turns out, Rick's not allergic to cats anyway (he thought he would be, since he's allergic to every other living thing, it seems). However, I unexpectedly discovered that I *am* allergic! Luckily I don't have to take medication anymore, but for a while, every time I touched her, my eyes swelled up and my nose started running. My asthma, which I hadn't had since I was a kid, came back as well! But it seems I've gotten used to her in the past year or so, so now as long as I try not to touch my face after petting her, I'm fine. :)

She's sooooo playful and funny and loves being around people. She can't stand to be in a room alone and follows us everywhere, sleeps at the foot of our bed, etc. Definitely the cutest and most entertaining cat I've ever had. :)

How are your two kitties? I used to love it when you posted pictures of them and wrote about all the trouble they got themselves into. :)
