Just got a call from the IND saying that they were attempting to make a decision on my residence permit (finally!), but that we had not submitted the necessary copy of Rick's passport. Which is rubbish-- not only did we bring our own copies, but we gave both our passports to the interviewer in June and watched her make extracopies of them, then put them all into our dossier. How can they claim we never submitted them? Urgh! We also had a call a month or two ago about how they had no record of us paying the $400 application fee, and that we owed them moeny. Again, ridiculous-- you can't even begin the process without paying first, so there's no way to get as far as we have without paying the fee. Turns out they had just lost the receipt, but luckily we still had our copy and were able to fax that in. I'm just irritated by the fact that we have done everything right, checked and double-checked, and it's still being held up by crap like this. How hard is it to hang on to a few slips of paper??
