Prior Art I

An idea, that I had:

Holographic displays have been in the works for some time now, though they have not yet come to complete fruition, when they finally arrive at it I have an idea of a possible use.

You see, holographic displays would allow for different images at multiple viewing angles. This would, in turn, allow a display to be separated into multiple different viewing angles which could be used to facilitate multi-player console gaming.

Current consoles generally incorporate a split-screen method for multi-play which divides the viewable area into segments for each player. By splitting the overall viewable span into multiple segments, it will be possible to give each player their own private "virtual screen" viewable only to them at their specified angle using a single display.

This alleviates the problems of limited screen space, graphical fidelity, and "screen looking" which is considered a cheating tactic in which one player looks at another player's screen in order to discern their location.
