Summary: Pseudo-composer and college dropout Jung Jinyoung gives Junghwan piano lessons in an old Victorian-style mansion. AU.

( The song was about love and something else painfully trite, and Junghwan barely held in a snort when Jinyoung started singing in a voice that sounded so gooey it could congest rivers. )

i love it. everything - the characterizations, the way you talk about music, the junghwan/jinyoung dynamic - is beautiful and so cute.

junghwan, with his piano and music reading difficulties, reminds me of myself when i first started my piano lessons and i must say it was amusing to read of someone going through the same troubles.

i want to hear jinyoungs song.

I took piano lessons not too long ago myself, so that's how I incorporated this stuff into it.

Ahh I really enjoyed this!

Sandeul was totally the kid from drumline. Pure raw talent but not a clue about music. I loved the little buts where deul would be like idk what language you're speaking. It was funny.

oh man this totally takes me back to when i took piano lessons -- especially the bit with the soft carpet! i had lessons in three different houses (between two teachers) and all three of them had plush carpet beneath the piano. i wonder if this is some sort of piano teaching rule ?__?

i adore how you wrote jinyoung in this story. this isn't the first story i've come across where one of the characters take up the role of disgruntled composer/author/etc, and honestly i was expecting your characterization of jinyoung to end up falling into the same sort of cliche'd trope-y personality BUT that's not what happened! i looove that his frustration didn't come at the cost of his diligence or positivity (which is one of his defining traits, tbh) and even when he's in a rut he can still list off things he loves. ( though what with the 'Jinyoung hadn’t taken a proper walk in the past three years or more ' line, i guess this could be taken as a recent development...? but still, i like that you showed it ( ... )

Haha, we keep our piano in a carpeted room, and all the piano lessons I've taken have been on carpet as well!

Jinyoung is one of my favorite characters to write. Sometimes I feel insecure about my characterization, so I'm glad you liked it in this fic! I like to try to make my characters well-rounded or at least have some conflicting-ish traits to make them more human-like.

I also feel really insecure about my dialogue sometimes!! So thanks a lot!! ;~;
