Comeuppance
During WW1 an estimated 100,000 Jews fought in the German Army for Germany under Kaiser Wilhelm. These were not conscripts. These were men who volunteered to serve the nation that they were born in, lived in and were citizens of. They were, in other words, patriots who wanted to fight for their nation.
Fast forward a couple of decades and we can now "Betrayal" to the long list of Nazi atrocities because they were executing 88,000 German military veterans - 18,000 of which had won Iron Crosses for their valor in the previous war. None of this mattered to Hitler, of course, because to him and his fans they were still just "vermin" and not, in fact, "Real Germans." In the end their previous loyalty & service amounted to nothing as they were targeted for extermination.
Ben Shapiro, who is Jewish, has been a loyal Republican all his life. He has stood for his side loyally since he was a teenager. He considers himself a patriot who wants to fight for his nation. Fast forward a couple of decades and we can see him becoming a herald for the newly emerging Cult of Trump, a man who calls his detractors "vermin" and claims that people who aren't at least 7/8th Caucasian disagree with him about anything are not, in fact, "Real Americans." This has most definitely included more than a few military veterans, some of them disabled. This doesn't mean anything to him or his cultists, of course.
Ben is, in other words, desperately trying to get himself killed. If he gets his wish & Trump becomes Dictator/King next year, he will certainly enjoy the sadistic satisfaction of watching legions of brown people get deported, locked up and eventually exterminated... right up until the moment where he ends up joining them, of course. He & his people aren't at the top of the list, but they're still on it, and as tragic as what must surely follow would be, there is at the very least one person out there who will totally deserve it.
