The Coven - Saturday 14th May with GESTALT & guest DJ Awaywizefaries
A relatively busy night all round, especially for the techies thanks once again to the recent dubstep nights blowing all the subs again. Still, we prevailed and tweaked, and all seemed well.
First off, for those that missed Gestalt, you really missed a great show. Even more so for those that seemed to stay in and watch the bloody Eurovision! Regardless, I predict great things for this band and thoroughly recommend seeing them next chance you get.
After the band finished I had to rush off for DJ duties, and I was pleased to see a pretty healthy dancefloor all evening. I must admit to having rewritten my last set several times in the run up to the night, but decided to scrap it and just play the rest of the requests. So a big thanks to CovenAlex and our guest DJ for the evening, Awaywivzefaires for doing such a great job.
So anyway, thanks to all that helped make the night a pleasure to play. We’ll be back on Saturday 11h June with guest DJ Grimly Fiendish from Blackpool’s “Misery Of Sound” and, as usual, it’ll be bloody awesome, so get your spot on the dancefloor early!
