the sufferer & the witness

so today i picked up the new Rise Against record, 'The Sufferer & The Witness'. and it realized how underappreciated they are. and how no one realizes they are in fact a melodic hardcore band.
(see also: bands like Good Riddance, Strike Anywhere, Comeback Kid, With Honor, Crime In Stereo, etc.)
if 'Swing Life Away' (also their only acoustic song ever) had never been written they'd still have the respect they deserve in the hardcore scene.
this song is completely misunderstood also because it has nothing to do with a girl or a relationship. its actually about their friends and who supported them and has been there for them. omg you can put away your guyliner and girl pants now. thats what Hawthorne Heights is for.
if any of you knew, Tim (RA's vocalist) played guitar in another hardcore band called Arma Angelus, which also had pre-teen heartthrob Pete Wentz on vocals. i suggest you listen to them and lose respect for Pete. how can he play hardcore and not pop punk too!?!? :[[
bust out the guyliner and girlpants and listen to Fall Out Boy since they are oh so emo.

i remember when i was 16 my mom drove my friends and i to boston to see Rise Against and Poison the Well. after the show my mom met Tim, vocalist from Rise Against when we were talking to him and after she said he was so cute and nice. i wonder if either of them remember that.
bring those days back when it was on a personal level between bands and kids. i miss that.
its sad you guys never knew.

all this aside, Rise Against is still a great band.

thank you to my cousin Mark Hartnett for telling me to write music reviews.
this is the first of many.

ps; whatever happened to easycore?
Dear Set Your Goals,
please revive it.
and make sure ska never comes back.
let it die like old Saves The Day.
