Yesterday night a friend of mine came to a realization about himself, funny, himself was all that mattered, coming to a realization about himself and no one else.
Such a earth shattering noise it must have been when he realized that the condition he was in, he's not the only one you know.
Not everyone cares to see what he will become, and not everyone is out to get him.
What a wonder it must have been to realize that everyone does not see you, what a wonder it must have been to see through the eyes of another and perceive himself in a different manner.
He swears to me that he is going to change, he wants to change, and he doesn't want to be the self absorbed criminal that he once was.
We'll see if his vision proves to be true or false.
I can still remember a time when he knocked me down, he must have thought this was a hit that would echo through out the rest of my life.
Little does he know, that when he knocked me down, i stayed down until he had left me, then I simply got back up, dusted my self off and continued walking.
While i walked my legs grew stronger, and my heart beat harder.
Well, i walked and walk, and one day we crossed paths again.
No he did not knock me down, he only extended his hand to me in his own was again.
Do i trust him? Could i ever trust him? Has he changed? does he still remember what happened?
Of coarse he does, i took his hand in friendship and told him i'd be there.
I have watched my friend change from, childlike monster to manlike humanoid.
Funny how somethings can change the life of someone.
So i will someday update and tell all about my friends latest transformation, from manlike humanoid into his latest and greatest image, a man who realized the sun does not set and rise on his head, who has realized that not everyone cares to know him, who realized that he is human and not some freak of nature, who realized that... well... he does matter to some, some of the luckiest people can actually call him friend.
You know who who you are, and i hope someday that you may be able to read this.
