Lexi is making good on her promise to keep an eye on Licas' forays into parenthood, and spends a fair bit of time over at Licas' place to check up on him and Silivren (Licas has started shortening it to Silvie).
Parenting does not come naturally to Licas, although he does try in an attempt to get back into Lexi's good books.
Licas: "Wheee! Wheeeeuurrghh! Why does she have to leak from EVERYWHERE?"
Lexi is too nice a sim to just leave Licas to his own devices, and has ended up helping out rather than simply supervising, taking over Silvie when Licas isn't handling her right or can't soothe her.
Lexi: "There there little one. Your daddy just turned into a werewolf. Nothing to be frightened of... Shush shush now."
Licas is determined not to let the second chance he wrangled out of Faelyn go to waste, and is taking the fact that Lexi is spending so much time over at his place as a good sign. (Never mind that she's simply trying to make sure Silvie doesn't have to live in a complete pigsty.)
He does realise that he'll have to lay off the lech a little to make this work.
Licas: "Lexi, I don't know how to thank you enough for being there for me through all this."
Lexi: "I'm doing it for Silvie, Licas, not..."
Licas: "I know, I know. Still, I just wanted to let you know that I think you're an incredible woman."
Licas: "A little token to show my appreciation."
Lexi: "I... that's very thoughtful of you, Licas."
Licas: "Just a thank you. No strings attached.
Lexi: "Where did you even get this? It's the middle of the winter!"
Licas: "Oswald and June built a little greenhouse before the snow started falling. I think they're mainly growing grapes and things in there, but they've got some flowers as well."
Fang went and got old while all of the baby shenanigans were going on. He spends most of the cold days snoozing next to the fire. Not a bad way to get through winter.
Under Lexi's watchful eye, Licas' parenting skills are blossoming.
Licas: "And she hasn't thrown up on me all day!"
Lexi: "I told you that not swinging her around that much would help. She's a baby, not a puppy! Or uh... is she?"
Licas: "Too early to tell. Weres don't tend to change until they've reached puberty."
Lexi is spending more and more time with Licas and Silvie, to the point of sleeping over some nights. Adrian has started expressing some concerns about it, but in Lexi's mind she's doing the right thing. It's not like there's anyone else that is going to step up and make sure that Silvie has a proper upbringing.
The days fly by, and before they know it it's time for Silvie to have her birthday.
Lexi: "Woowoowoo!" *rattles*
Licas: "Hey, I made a pretty good-looking kid!"
Silvie is indeed a very cute kid :) She's got Faelyn's blonde hair and lavender eyes, and Licas' dark skin. And little elf ears peeking out from underneath that bob!
A birthday gift was left on the doorstep the next morning. It doesn't take much guesswork to know who it's from. So far, Silvie just chews on the little wand and uses it to hit things.
Licas and Lexi actually form a pretty good tag team, with Lexi coming over during the day when Licas catches up on his sleep, and Licas spending time with his daughter after dark.
Lexi: "Say dada! Dada!"
Silvie: "...Mama!"
Lexi: "No no, Lexi. Lexi!"
Silvie: "Mama!"
Lexi: "Uhh..."
Silvie is an adventurous little tot, and tries to make it outside every chance she gets. Luckily she's inherited a bunch of Alexis and Aileen's old toddler clothes, including a warm waterproof romper and a little hat with earmuffs.
Silvie: "Shnuh! Nomnomnomnom."
Licas: "There you are! What are you doing there, you little escape artist?"
Silvie: "Dada! Shnuh!"
Licas: "Let's get you inside before you catch a cold, princess."
Licas: "...and she just sat there shovelling the snow in her mouth! And I asked her what she was doing, and she just went 'Shnuh! Shnuh!"
Lexi; "That's so adorable. I'm sorry I missed that!"
Licas: "I wish you could've seen it. I know I keep saying it, but thank you so much for helping to take care of her."
Licas: "I couldn't think of a better woman to raise my little girl with."
Lexi: "I'm just glad you've turned over a new leaf. You're not too bad at this whole daddy thing after all."
Lexi: "Whoa whoa whoa!"
Licas: "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It just sort of... happened?"
Lexi: "Uh... I...I better go and put Silvie to bed."
Licas: "She didn't hit me in the face or run off..." *happy sigh*
Lexi: "G'night Silvie. Sweet dreams."
Silvie: "Ninight mama."
Lexi: "Oh dear Watcher, what am I doing..?"
