N: French Fry Update!
I like having my French Fry around. We had to give Fry a full reset a couple months back (many thanks to Light, TD, firefly, and Froggie for helping out with that), so it's been a kind of weird couple of months. He's back to being the shroom-brained musical doodler, as I like to call him. It's a major step back, since it took ages to get him off the drugs and get him to a proper intelligence level, but I'm up for the challenge again (for my IRL friends - no, we don't do drugs. It's complicated to explain, but we're clean, I swear. System rules). It should be easier this time, at least, since he doesn't have any outside influences to get in the way. It does mean, though, that he is more short-tempered and airheaded, but he's also more fun and almost a decent Admiral (all other things aside). With a proper Admiral in place, I can go back to my leading position without worrying about this place falling down around my ears. I wish I had thought of the reset sooner. I missed him. I mean, I know he was still him, but he got too different. I'm honestly surprised he didn't split like me and Annie after what happened last summer.
It's kind of funny having him back like this, and me being different. It's intriguing to see him with a more educated perspective. I finally understand why he exists the way he does, and why he showed up like that. Which will help immensely in fixing him up.
I like having him this way. Not the druggie thing, but the rest of him. He sings to me, we dance, we spar, we Hunt, he draws more, he laughs... It's amazing. Just last fall he was on the verge of self-implosion, and now he's bright and exciting again. I won't let him break this time. I won't let the past happen again. I'll keep him safe this time. It's the least I can do, since his demise was because of what he did for me. He saved me from a broken fate, took it upon himself, and lost his soul. Now it's my turn to save him and get him back.
Anyway, I just thought I would give an update on what's been going on at the Complex (I had to rename it). There have been a lot of changes, and I'm pretty optimistic overall. We're getting better, slowly but surely! We only have each other, so we can only go so fast, but I have to say we're doing really well for our situation. I'm kind of proud of us.
