a late night adventure of a different kind~
so my parents drove up to PA to visit relatives for a couple of days and are driving back home on New Years Eve. Me, Matt, and Nudge are the only ones home. Matt and I are both night people where we sleep in til noon cuz we don't get to bed til sunrise ^.^
it was around 2:30am and we were talking, i was telling him about some dramas i've watched and he was making his usual jokes and such. i then told him i usually get the urge to bake late at night. i always want to bake things like cakes and brownies. we ended our conversation and I washed all the dishes in the kitchen and found myself with nothing to do. 3am, he says "You wanna go to Martin's?" that's our 24 hour grocery store here. i say "SURE 8D" and so we head over and pick up a few things, i ran into an old friend of mine that i've missed dearly. i never knew Chucky worked there... what an odd place and time to reunite with someone you havent seen in ages... but i digress. we get back in the car and he remembered something i had said while we were in the store: "I'v always wanted to drive around town late at night like this and see what's even open." so we drove around town and he turned down some back roads and i found myself lost, so he showed me a bunch of roads that all connect and now i know a bunch of ways to get to different places XD
THEN we crossed over 26 and ended up on 97, heading south. i know that road in three chunks. the first chunk i'm very familiar with because i used to drive it ALL the freaking time. the second chunk i have no idea what it even looks like because iono, i just dont know it. the third chunk is after the second one and it's after the HUGE intersection at 70. i used to drive there for horse shows and when my horses were stabled at a barn down there. so he turns off somewhere in chunk 2 so i'm completely lost. we end up talking about Henryton and our adventures there (fun times ^.^ and for those non-eldersburgians, Henryton is an abandoned hospital/asylum in town that is "haunted" and kidsgo there all the time. if youre smart, you dont get caught. but always be careful as it is filled with asbesdos and falling apart). so i finally find out we're at Obrecht (which is where my other brother used to play baseball which is how i recognized it) and i know where that road ends, but none of the side roads. so what does he do? he turns off on a side road. go figure -.- now im lost again.
finally i realize we're on main street sykesville and i had one of those lightbulb "AHA!" moments. so we cross over 32 again and pass the Freedom baseball park and the American Legion and then he turns down all these roads and he's like "Let's pass by Henryton!" so i say "OK 8D" and so we drive past the main enterance and there's security sittin right out front at 4:30 in the morning XD so we pass it and he shows me more roads and how to get back home and it was a lot of fun.
we got home at 5am~ aahhh i'm starving. i have a lot more bands to look up cuz of that car ride, too. my brothers are how i keep up-to-date on my american groups like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Breaking Benjamin, and all the other ones I've never heard of like Sick Puppies and The Word Alive and tons of other awesome-sounding groups i gotta look into. ok, well Nick keeps me up-to-date on the lighter side of rock/metal like Coheed and Cambria, Breaking Benjamin, andothers. Matt is how I keep up-to-date on the rap and the heavier stuff (you know, those bands where you cant understand what youre hearing cuz it sounds like a three and a half minute long explosion of metal and screaming animals in your ears~<3 ). such a far stretch from kpop XD way heavier than most GazettE songs, too. ahhhh I miss my metal and screamo *in heaven*
anyways, so we drove a total of around 40 miles in two hours and had a lot of fun ^.^ but i should probably get to sleep soon, tho. i have to get up at 9 to take care of my dog (because matt wont do it) and then in the afternoon im supposed to be hanging out with xiao jiejie and we are SUPPOSED to be doing research. let's see how much actually gets done XD i swear we have joint ADD and I blame Kangta for all of it. GORRAMIT KANGTA STOP BEING... YOU!!! so distracting -.- (naked woohyuk whut?!)
AHHHHHHH MY MIND IS EVERYWHERE!!!! I LOVE THIS TIME OF NIGHT!!!
you know what ive always wanted to do at night? one night when it's a full mooon or close to, i want to go for a walk in the woods. it's gotta be a cool night, tho, not freezing, but not warm. sort of like tonight. its really not cold outside. you can see your breath, tho XD ahhhhh i would walk and then sit down and write more poems and songs in the moonlight~ i did that once, back in middle school. I snuck out of my house with a small back pack holding my notebook and a pen, and ent down to the woods and sat on the edge where the woods meet the cornfeild and i wrote some poems~ some of my best work, if you ask me ^.^
