He has spent hours upon hours walking towards the park. The journey is made more grueling because of his need to eat, stop, rest - which, as a Shitennou, never did hinder him much from his goal before. As a human, these needs are more pronounced - thus, they need to be met every single time.
It is cold, getting colder - and dusk is quickly settling in. Night has come by the time Nephrite has reached the park, and soon he collapses against a tree, his exhaustion overriding everything else and forcing him to sleep.
