I think it's time I made everything in this journal private. I wouldn't ever want to delete it, as there's so much of my life detailed in these entries...going back more than ten years now

Thanks. I appreciate it. There are times when inspiration hits me, and reading your thoughts in that post really hit a nerve... in a good way, that is. ^^
As for tGA, the simplest solution for you would be to just ignore the posts that have taken place before and carry on from the present. It's not like the posts in these recent chapters have dealt with the "old" cast that much apart from Nesa's adventures with his daughter, or even been too relevant to the overall plot. Or alternatively we can provide you with a summary if needed, but like I said, it's not really necessary to know all that stuff apart from new people showing up and ending up on crazy adventures with loose ties to the big plot. Think of these adventures as a sort of a longer side plot.
The only post involving your characters in an important way was the Ax/Refan talk which we've talked about before. They haven't had another confrontation since that meeting, and I might postpone the second meeting indefinitely because I'd feel awkward taking control of Ax for such a pivotal scene.
If all goes well (and depending on when everyone's ready for the jump), we might start a new chapter next week. That could be an easy spot for you to jump in if you feel like it, particularly because some of the action finally returns to Alent where the old characters are at the moment. :)
