My life needs a rewind/erase button.
Yesterday was the first day of classes. I have a class at 8 and another one not until 1 on MWF. This would be a bad thing, but it secures me at least 3 1/2 hours to get some homework done three days a week. Which, is helpful. Especially since if I wasn't forced to get up early for class, I wouldn't be getting up anywhere early enough to get that much time in to do homework during the day otherwise.
My classes seem good so far. I'm excited for them all this time actually.
I'm taking an online class this time around, dealing with Classics. Its basically the greek and latin background in medical and scientific terminology. So its kinda linguistics/working with common base words/prefixes/suffixes in greek and latin and their use in modern language. Anyway, i had to go to the Columbus OSU campus for this. That place, is huge, to say the least. Its like a mini freaking city inside Columbus. This being my first time on campus, I'm really glad I left as early as I did. I found a place to park, which, was actually my first major concern. Everyone had told me it was a bitch finding a place to park. I didn't struggle with that part at least! I finally got ahold of a campus map and found my building after a nice long ass walk with my sister, who nicely agreed to go with me so I wouldn't be alone. So, the presentation/intro was.. uneventful. She had put the powerpoint up already on Carmen (Blackboard, D2L, those online college sites where professors can put up info regarding the class, you can take quizzes, etc) and she pretty much just read off it...So it was like a half hour of her going over a powerpoint that i could have just read... It was kinda frustrating that it took me longer to get there and get to the building than I was in the building for the 'lecture'. Whatever, I guess. On the way back to the car, the sidewalk was kinda not even. My foot slid off the side and... Sprained/twisted ankle. To be honest, I don't know which it is. I still had a ways to walk back to the car. It rather sucked. I hit my knee when I feel too so I have a nice bruise there too. My ankle is still sore, and rather swollen. My knee is pretty much fine except a little bruise. I'm hoping it feels better by tomorrow since I have to work : /
Anyway, today was my Classical Mythology class! :D I'm really excited about it. Today was pretty much just intro stuff, we talked about our favorite fictional heroes. I have so many though : / Like Wesley from The Princess Bride, Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice, Aeneas from The Aeneid, Han Solo from Star Wars, and I rather like Jaina Proudmoore from World of Warcraft..I have more too so it was hard for me to pick. Anyway, we're starting Creation Myths Tuesday which really makes me excited!
