i'm writing this from my desk, from my temporary office, at work!

when i was a good social manager, you know, before i lost interest in the manager positions i, for some reason, continued to obtain, i thought i was doing well, even perhaps, very well, if i threw a couple of events the way of the house each week. that's one or two or, oh my god, 3 each week including movie nights and such. the other day, i talked to an old associate (acquaintance?) of mine who is social managering at CZ (casa zimbabwe, a rather large co-op next to one i lived in for the last three years for those not in the esoteric know) and he said that he would sign me up for the cz social events calendar that he was publishing each week to keep people apprised of the various goings on. intelligent, i thought, since houses--especially large houses--tend to fragment during the summer months, the individual floors form a sort of domestic partnership while neighboring floors are involved cursorily and floors on the other side of the building are avoided utterly, as if they carry a cruel and rampant virus somewhat akin to smallpox, bubonic plague, cooties, something of that variety. so this soc. is battling that with these updates. it's not real far out of the box or anything, but it's a good idea.

then, i got one:
tuesday july 13th: video game night. 9pm.
wednesday july 14th: movie night ("the cook, the thief, his wife and her lover" and something else not yet yet decided). 9pm.
thursday july 15th: ito's bar night & confuflux, a holy day for the celebration of confusion. 9pm.
saturday july 17th: rick's party.
sunday july 18th: day hike in marin. we'll probably leave about noon and get back around 6 or 7. there will be a picnic. if you can drive or lend social your car, please let me know. gas money will be subsidized.
monday july 19th: board game night. 9pm.

oh yes, that is an event every single fucking night. i am... impressed to say the least.

though i bet he still can't match me in party theory i must admit that he is a superior social manager.

huzzah, micah.
