placeholder: warm squishy happy pants
I need to write something real, but I finished an essay and my brain hurts too much. so. placeholder!
things from the last few days that fill me with yay and aww:
- my suitemate Hannah, bounding into my room very early in the morning and offering to make me banana pancakes.
- wandering around SoHo in the rain.
- the fact that everyone who was covering the Watchmen on the Walls conference made it out alive. I was honestly concerned.
- coffee with Claire during her epic NYC trip (!!)
- running late, getting on the wrong train, getting off, getting on the right train, and STILL arriving for my meeting with the nice computer-fixing people on time.
- thrift shopping and nutella crepes with Lily.
- taking two trains I've never ridden before out to Greenpoint, Brooklyn (aka The Eastern Bloc) after dark, because Zoe told me to. BUT. $45 later, she, Lily and I, have out Hallomas 2007 tickets. The things we do for the World/Inferno.
- coffee and sugar with mildly hysterical, debt-ridden college friends who should get more sleep. I like having people to hang out with; they think I look like my name.
- staying up way too late with suitemates, doing homework. according to Sandy, my Hebrew is really good (and my huge scribbly block letters are "adorable"). Hannah built a frog with antlers out of crate paper. freaking talented artist types.
- Performance art at Cafe Rapture, review pending (my mind is racing...)
- gift from the parents: SONIC-SCREWDRIVER FLASHLIGHT. oh yes.
- NOT having rehearsal tonight. I lovelovelove my cast, and the show is going to be really good, but we still. haven't. started. blocking. what. the. fuck.
- having all my homework for the week DONE. BWAHAHAHA. ahaha. ha.
- making place-holder life-is-good LJ updates.
- knowing that three of my favorite people in the world are going to be here, with me, in a matter of days. aaaah.
