As I am leaving the room after registering for Lydia's applied linguistics class:

"Un moment, si vous plait, mademoiselle--vous parlez Français, un peu, oui?"
"Je suis désolé; je ne comprehends pas, mon Français est terrible."
and my accent was PERFECT. Comment dites-vous 'Huge Tool' en Français?
in other news, I'm probably not going to college this year. in subsequent news, I'm on the verge of a psychotic break. and in other other news, I learned these words: trimalcion, quotidian, and savin. Thank you online scrabble, thank you CT, thank you Sue Grafton. hurrah!
time to go work on something else that will induce too much stress with absolutely no payoff. I'm excited.
