If Charles gets any sense for physiology from his telepathy, he would notice that Shepard has a lot of weird little sensory nodules and lesions across his nervous system. These allow him to sense and manipulate element zero, which in turn manipulates dark matter and dark energy, which in turn produces telekinetic forcefied, aka biotics.
CHARACTER HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Shepard is an elite marine with telekinetic abilities. He was born on a remote hick colony that was massacred when he was 16. He promptly enlisted. Shortly after becoming a marine giant worm monsters ate his platoon. He signed up for advanced training, became first officer of a ship, immediately after its shakedown became a SPECTRE (a kind of awesome special agent no human had been before), became commander of his ship, saved the galaxy from ancient evil alien robots, died, was pieced back together, saved the galaxy again, and was getting ready for a threepeat when he woke up here.
MEMORIES/TRAITS: Apart from the history stuff, Shepard really misses his girlfriend. Well, girlfriends. After he died, his first love moved on in ways that frankly scared him a little, but he still loves and misses her. Ditto Tali, his post-resurrection love. And because she fits the general type, Shepard has a bit of a thing for Jenny, but he will never confess or act on it because a) he wants to stay faithful even if he never sees Liara or Tali again; and b) he heard what her real age was. He's too old for her. XD

TELEPATHY: Sure! I'm not sure how other Persona kids are doing this, but it seems to me that Xavier migth be able to sense the Persona's presence...
MEMORIES/TRAITS: Chie very much misses Yukiko, is worried/excited about leading a team in the Dark Hour, and she thinks about steak and martial arts A LOT.
UNDER LOCK: She would be really embarrassed if he mentioned to anyone that she's starting to figure out she liked girls, but if for some reason that came up anyway, I-the-player am unlikely to have a problem with it.

TELEPATHY: Yes! Though given his Time Lordliness and own telepathic abilities, reading his mind or especially making alterations could be tricky. I think Charles is probably the superior telepath, but the Doc has had longer to practice tricks and defenses. It would be interesting.
