Been awhile....
Here's the break story
Friday night...got home, chilled with Jim for a bit...slept
Saturday...did nothing, went over to my sister's and her bf Mike's place at night for some games and a bit of drinking. Bunch of their friends were there, I've met most of them before but they're all 25 or 26 and one 30 year old, except for Mike's brother Dan who is 21 but looks 25, great people. I think my sister's met her husband.
Sunday...The whole family came over including Lauren (Chris's gf and Mike) played apples to apples and imagine if both of which I lost horribly in. They left in the early evening, also I started Digital Fortress in the morning...talked to Kel online for a good long while...then finished the book before passing out.
Monday...Don't know what the hell I did during the day...not much I imagine but ended up at Jimmy's place where we decided to take on the Mortal Kombat Deception Konquest Mode...he can't perform intricate combos...I can, but he's still better in a fight than I am...we made a good team.
Tuesday...In the morning went to see the movie Hitch with mom shev and my aunt Kathy and cousin Alicia, wasn't a bad flick, though not great either. Tuesday night...see Monday night. Oh but we beat it this time.
Wednesday...Finally made it over to big bro Chris's new place and damn I'm jealous. He is pimping over there, well not really since he lives there with his girl but yeah its such a sweet place and his new 42" Flat Panel Plasma Tv just makes it all that much better. Got a long lecture about finances...well I wouldn't say lecture, he's just looking out for me. We went to see Constantine that night, mediocre until the last half hour or so which is just awesome, highly recommended just for that part.
Thursday...Drove a couple hours up to Lewiston Maine to go to an appt with Kel, I'll let her tell what it was for. I think it went well, but we will see how she likes em in the long run. Went out for lunch afterwards then headed home. Seeing her was well worth the trip even though we only had maybe 2 hours together. Miss you babe ;)
Friday...My return to snowboarding after a 2 year hiatus, and what better place than Mt. Snow over in Vermont. Great weather, not too cold and plenty of snow. Sorry I don't have any wipeout stories to tell ya just because I'm too damn good. I've missed it though, don't know if I'll make it out again this year but next winter will definitely see some more trips.
And finally Friday night...so far not much got home and watched the end of Friday Night Lights, great flick. But then as I went out to the hot tub something almost magical happened. I mean that 103 degree water, the tinted blue light and the darkness...the chill on my face. It was just me, silence and the stars....I couldn't take my eyes off the sky. It was beautiful and perfectly clear except for the stray cloud that drifted by every now and then. One moment that just froze and I was lost....in life, in my thoughts. I noticed how the longer you stare at the stars the more you see, they just keep appearing right out of the darkness as if they weren't there just a second ago. It reminded me everythings worth a good look...no matter the subject because something that wasn't there a second ago might have just become visible. It was surreal and a fitting end to a relaxing break.
Tomorrow morning I head back to Rochy, the apt and of course my girl Kelly who I haven't seen nearly enough in the past week...back to life.
I hope y'all had a great break
