I just recently have been watching Malcom X and I find the movie Malcom X very good and the revolutionary Malcom X very interesting. He is someone I respect and hold in the highest regard as a genious and revolutionary, however I do disagree with his values. I like what the Black Panthers and the Black Islams and other such groups and revolutionaries stand (and stood) for, but I dont believe that it accomplishes anything to hate on white people. I know mostly anyone would say "It's easy for you to say that, being white." Well I realize that, fuckos. What I try to emphasize here is that nothing is accomplished by there being a race in power or master race or whatever. I think what matters, at least at this point, is that we strive for racial equality. I realize that it most likely...no wait, it WAS different back in the 1930s when Klansmen and White Supremicists were rampant and blatant (now theyre under the "clever" guise of the NRA, the majority population of Congress, and the whole white majority of the Republican party for that matter...jesus the system is fucked). Anyway, those types of people were rampant and blatant back then so there was more hate going around...I think hate for the "people of color" has died down ever since our hatred (no wait...FEAR) of the terrorists (no wait, I'm sorry, "people of terror") has erupted. But it's still there. We need to kill the fear.
But unfortunately, that will never happen, at least not anytime soon that I can see. My theory is that society, American society at least, is based on fear. White people are afraid. Black people are afraid. You're afraid. I'm afraid. We all are. Whether we like it or not, kids. Dont tell me youre not afraid. I know you are. And what dost thou fear, little droogie? You fear change, my brothers and sisters. We all do. People may accept change, people may even want it, but in reality, they fear it like the Plague. I dont see how thats gonna change. Because what the paradox is, is that we fear change, so there really is no way we can change and get out of this hell of life we all live in. We're all trapped in this life of routine. We live for routine, sex, and "happiness" and the feeling that we're all special somehow when its really just total bullshit. But theres no way out of this and that depresses me greatly.
"Dost thou dare to disturb the universe?"
Disclaimer: I realize that the true quote is "Do I Dare Disturb the Universe?" but I figured that maybe others would see me as hip and trendy by using old style archaic English. After all, I live for acceptance, dont I?
