I had a very "strangers feel it's okay to approach me" kind of day today. I am on vacation from the army pending my discharge on the 7th. I went to Jerusalem and walked through the Har Herzl Cemetery. It is where many of Israel's great leaders are buried as well as a military cemetery and one of the most beautiful places I know. [a] I usually accept conversation offers even at risk of disturbing my private music time, especially when the people making them are as strange and interesting and possibly characters-in-my-future-script-worthy, as yours seem to be.

[b] I think this wouldn't have happened to you 3 times in one day in the States, or most first-world places outside of Israel...

[c] Apple cinnamon muffins. Excellent. And rather Hallowe'en/American autumn-appropriate.

[d] I will be in Eretz Ha'kodesh this winter as a birthright madricha, but then extending my trip with my best friend to see family and to tramp about. I need help picking out good hikes and whatnot. Any suggestions?
