For September 10th
[I just need to get this down in my journal since I have the time to update now]
I finally saw my friends this summer. (^_^) We hung out at Karen's house, K-Mart, McDonalds, and Alhambra (specifically, the Hallmark store and Nucleus... I think that's what it was called). Anyway, it doesn't really matter where we went. I just had a great time seeing them again. There's a feeling I really like about times like these when it's the four of us (Floyd, Karen, Jen, and I).
We stayed in the last store for a while because Floyd spotted someone we knew from Wilson in there and they talked for a while. I actually wanted to say hi and whatnot along with him, but nervousness struck me and I walked over to look at Nightmare Before Christmas toys instead. Really, it literally STRUCK me. Straight in the heart because that's what happens when I'm shocked (I'm easily surprised -_-).
It was sad to see the way he turned out. One of the rare people I actually looked up to in high school talking about how he wants to forget all of it (and other things) made me wish there were something I could do. Things I wish I said: It doesn't matter if you do well in school or not, just follow your dreams and take it one step at a time because you never know what to expect so you might as well do your best to be happy; I'll be your friend!; [Some things I forgot now]; etc..
I do this a lot by the way - think of things I could have said a while too late to help me think of something to say if I ever got another chance, (but even if I did, I don't think I'd do anything differently).
Well, that makes 4 people now that I can think of who don't like thinking about high school... and I don't know that many people -_-
I understand that the memories aren't that great, but I believe in cherishing memories... good or bad. Or at least that's what I'm saying now. :P I tend to forget what I say fairly often and change my mind because, once again, my memory sucks. XD I'm still in the process of figuring out what my philosophies even are! XD
I'll make a bigger, more general, end of Summer Vacation update afterwards. For now, I still have until Friday :D
