Ah it's good to be back home. A little relaxing even though I've worked every day since being back. Well anyway, as everyone knows, today is Mother's Day. And I had to work until 5 PM. But after work I was taking my mommy out somewhere special, the Casino. Thats' right, what better way to say "Thanks for giving birth to me", then to feed money into a machine as an 80 year old woman sitting next to you on a ventilator viciously guards the five machines she's playing simultaneously so she can win back her diabetes medication money for next month? Well before you call me a bad son, it was mom's idea. Although I still didn't get her anything, I thought that since I was a "surprise" child, that that whole surprise thing could be my mother's day gift for life. Well we get there, and since my mom was bragging about how she won like a thousand dollars in Canadian the other week playing slots, I ask her for some money so I can feed my gambling addiction. So she gives me a hundred and I saunter over to the bar first, feeling a little parched, not to mention depressed, depressed, gambling obsessed senior citizens are a very sober lot, once I've had my rum and coke, I head over to the blackjack tables. After about half an hour, I'm up money, I pay my mom back the hundred dollars, then get another drink. After finding her again, she wants me to turn in her chips. After I waited in line for an eternity listening to Methuselah talk about how's he'd been there for the better part of 8 hours, I cashed her tokens out and borrowed another 40 dollars. This time I stayed at the table for a while, won some more. Then cashed out, paid mom back the forty. Then, you guessed it, back to the bar, ordered two more drinks and some nachos while the bartender flirted with me. By the way her name is Randi, and she's going to Las Vegas soon for two weeks to celebrate her 27th birthday. She just went to the tanner the other day and burnt her chest a little, she was just wishing she could walk around without her bra on for a while. I said I had no objection with that, but her employers may mind. Regardless, after tipping generously and finding mom again, we left. So after paying her back everything I owed her, four overpriced casino drinks, one overpriced plate of nachos, and tipping Randi about ten dollars, I walked out with one hundred Canadian still in my wallet, saving it for next time.
