So I had a lead on a new motorcycle. A guy at work was selling his 1993 Yamaha Seca II for $1500. Sure, it has 15k miles on it but for less than 2 grand its a great deal. I was all set to buy it when I found out that my buddy Gilbert had first dibs on it although he wasn't sure if he was going to get it. So I got in line letting the seller know that if Gilbert didn't buy it I was interested.
I went home sorta hoping that Gilbert would decide not to get it, but finally settled on putting it in God's hands. If he wanted me to buy it it would make it available to me, and I wasn't going to be upset about it either way.
Well looks like Gilbert is going to get it. I'm a little bummed, but I've already decided I wouldn't let it bum me out too bad. More importantly, if Gilbert gets it I hope he enjoys it and wish him only the best and safest riding.
If I don't get one this year I probably will next year.
Here's a Seca II. Not the one I was looking at though; that one was blue and without the big ugly SECA decals on it.
