I haven’t done a proper LJ post in well … quite a long time. Nearly as long ago as when gomer ran out of internet quota.
I am sitting here very sore, why you might ask? Well I played 4 hours of skirmish yesterday so lots of running/rolling/sliding + a couple of paintballs hitting you at ~70m/s in key spots = one sore Dean. On top of that we went out to the coffs hotel last night. I didn’t end up drinking but the whole body moving thing didn’t help the situation.
Skirmish was pretty awesome, way better than the time we played in Toormy in the small area with blow up obstacles. We did 4 different style games, one in the forest which our team won, but it was hard since there were too many things to get in the way when you tried to shoot someone. The second one was in town setting where I just camped in a building and used a little gap in the wall to keep the other team at bay but we didn’t win the objective. The third game was in trenches which we only just one, that was a hard game, too much long grass. The last one was in a small area free for all where I got many bruises. All up there was 14 of us playing.
I got around to putting a new stereo in my car. sony explode headunit, alpine 400w amp and a 300w 12’ sub mounted in the boot. It sounds pretty nice ^_^ but I do feel like a tool driving around coffs now :P Need to move to the gold coast to fit in.
Paul has left us for Canada :( sounds like a load of fun.
Im pretty happy about how uni is going, im getting a HD average for this unit which i thought i was only passing. I just never got around to checking my marks because i thought they were bad, but so far im doing great. I have put a lot of time into the course. I guess hard work and lots of time does pay off in the end.
Apart from that not a lot has been happening. Been working, doing uni, mucking around with the car, playing guitar hero and just been myself.
