How do you measure a year in a life?

Life has been passing by so quickly!

I haven't had time to document anything! I feel as though these moments will slip from my memory one day and won't have any proof they happened. So I will write them down now.

I went to the World Leadership Congress in Washington D.C. and it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. It opened my eyes to the world, let's just say. I met some INCREDIBLE people. I have 5 amazing friends in South Korea..some of which might come to stay with me very soon! I had the chance to LOBBY on Capitol Hill, in the Cannon House Building. Everything we said or did had such a significant value.

Strangely enough, it changed my future career goals. I never thought I'd say this...but I really want to go into Politics. It intrigues me! I hope to minor in Political Science, and be a News Reporter on Capitol Hill, and be a White House Correspondent!

"Uncle Don" Tocco, told us to find our burrrrrning desire. I was actually confused, when I couldn't think of one. I searched deep, deep inside my soul and was pessimistic when I just didn't feel it. But it soon grew over the week, and exploring D.C., and all of it's wonders, I think I found it.

Ever since I arrived home, I've been very proactive with my "burning desire." I am currently working on (hopefully) becoming a Senate Page in Washington D.C., next summer, or for the Spring 2008 semester.

I also will be interning in our Congressman's office (the one in Naples,) during the school year! I go in for a meeting on Monday and I get the chills whenever I think about it!

Furthermore, that I've even decided that Elon University might not be for me if I would like to go into Political Science. So I am currently considering George Washington University and Georgetown, both in D.C.

All of this is happening so rapidly! I cannot wait to see where this beautiful life takes me.
