summary: sometimes, sacrifices are needed to achieve your dreams.
"you told me our love was infinite." there were tears in her eyes, a blink away from having them fall down her cheeks. his gaze remained emotionless, and she could've sworn there was a bit of pity laced in his stare.
"i lied." a shatter.
"i hate you." there it was again, the same shatter but this time it was his heart and not hers. he watched her walk away from him. he watched her walk away from their relationship. it was then that he realized, it was his fault.
he had half a mind to run after her, grab her arm, apologize, and tell her he still loved her. kris hated being the reason for that hurt look in her eyes and he was almost willing to do whatever it took to be able to hold her again. but more than anything, he just wanted to hear her say she loved him. it was too late though, her figure growing smaller and smaller until she was out of his line of sight.
the walk back to the sm building had never been longer and for the first time, not even tao's aegyo could make him feel better. he had lost the one person that believed in him more than he believed in himself, and for what? for a chance to debut. for a chance to show the world his talents. for a chance to show her that he too could believe in himself.
but somewhere along the lines, she had stopped believing in him.
