Toile #3

Nov 25, 2011 14:51

Although I was quite happy with the fit (aesthetically) of toile #2, it was exceptionally restrictive to wear; could not even walk down stairs and if I dropped something, I could not pick it up!

Now I am quite happy to exchange some level of comfort for style but this was just a step too far!

I planned to try a shorter busk with the remaining centre front sewn together. I then had a brainwave to try mirroring the gores from the top in the bottom and use power mesh to fill the gaps.

Here are the results; it's much more comfortable and I especially like the rear ones (not see through but a bit naughty none the less). Think the front ones could be narrower but all together an improvement.
