I saw OAR last night!
it was amazing. I got my ass kicked... I don't know why people crowd surf and shit at OAR concerts. PLEASE. me and jos got kicked a lot. and many people were SO WASTED they couldn't get to the back, and so they just sort of fell everywhere. COOL GUYS.

i was always told that if you want to get into a good college, both your junior and senior years are supposed to be hard. so, i commend you on taking the AP and advanced classes. that's what i did last year and look where i am now. exactly where i wanted to be.

next year will be hard, but in the end, it's all worth it. i'm here if you need someone to vent to. :]

I'm taking AP classes now, and I just wanted my senior year to be better. and I actually feel like I'm not taking ENOUGH. everyone I know is taking AP Calc and AP Bio... but I'm an english person... not a science person.

thank you very much!

APs are hard as shit, but they're totally worth it. i took at least one every year except freshman. and i came into school with 12 credits already out of the way. i'm jealous times 235869576293847 that you get to take AP psych. i'm a psych and education major, but i never got to take psych in high school because it didn't fit into my schedule. lucky girl. :]

oh, and i suggest you keep the spanish 5. most colleges/universities require competency in language and the more you take in high school, the better the chances that you are exempt from some or all language courses in college. (you'll probably have to take a spanish placement exam, like i did.)

Spanish 5? That's shit. Drop it, seriously. I've taken two years of a language. Every single college that I've applied to/talked about my transcript with/interviewed with really doesn't give a shit, at all. Unless you're going somewhere with predominant spanish speakers, there's no need. Four years is way above and beyond most seniors THIS year. You don't need it, I assure you.

it's not so much that it is a language, more that the schools I'm thinking about applying to look for things that academically stick out... and she just told me that 5 years of a language instead of 2 or 3 could be one of those things. so, I'm takin' it!

Those sound like really fun classes though! My senior year is going to be English & gym (requirements), Spanish 4 (ew) and Choir...and then I'll spend the other half of the day at a local college taking Basic Nursing and Sociology 101. sdfjladsf?

we have a 1/4 long gym requirement, or you can do 34 hours of a community activity oooor a sport. so I'm doing pilates!

ugh, lucky. we have to take 2 quarters of gym every year except soph, then you only take 1...and sports/community service doesnt matter. rawr my school district sucks.

whoa whoa whao...taking spanish 5 will NOT be a deciding factor in ANY college, unless you want to continue to study it. And don't EVER feel like you won't ever make enough money or get into a good college, because with that attitude you won't. I live in San Francisco now, it's one of the most expensive cities to live in, and i'm doing it on my own (no parental help at ALL) If you put your mind to it, you can live, study, or get any job if you apply yourself and put your all into it. don't be dicouraged by tough times, they will happen for the rest of your life, and you will get over it every time...this is a message from the real world.
