started classes at three rivers today.
im not thrilled at all about them; they're like an extension off of high school to be quite honest with you.
At the advice of a co-worker who did the same, and was in a similar situation as I am, I'm going to do my best at three rivers for a year, and apply to UCONN or some other higher college after; Apparently they put less emphisis on your high school transcripts if you do well in that year. Sort of like showing you matured from a high school state of mind (thats the defense to go with too)
Ya know I put so much goddamn emphisis on trying to find a career to go into while still in high school, that i lost track of what had importance. After deciding I was going to three rivers, I just didnt give a shit in school and almost failed my senior year; definately the wrong choice that's biting me in the ass now. Although I will admit, getting my diploma with a 60.8 average in one of my classes, and being able to metaphorically say "fuck you" to every single office staff member at ELHS for all of the taunts and teases of me staying back, felt so fucking good...
Oh well, hopefully I can make up for that lost footing, As my father pointed out; I started school a year early, so even if I were to start college all over again next year at a higher university, it wouldnt be much different from just going to school at the time i was designated to
I wanna be on the radio really bad. Just like some graveyard shift hour show that played metal and lots of it. And not pussy ass 80's hair bands (sorry justin, but poison and whitesnake never cut it for me) that VH1 loves to label as metal (dumbass fuckheads), but like some seriously sweet ass shit from thrash legends (no shadows fall isnt thrash like they claim to be, they're simply a group of homosexuals with sounds of sucking cock on their albums) Overkill, Demolition Hammer, Death Angel, Anthrax (Fistfull of metal [1983] to The Persistance of Time [1991] era with Joey Belladona on vocals), Kreator, Sepultura (Morbid Visions [1986] through Beneath The Remains [1989]), Corrosion of Conformity (mainly the album Technocracy) and of course, the gods themselves, Megadeth
I also wouldnt leave out the other great forms of metal;
Death Metal - I'd play a bunch of Suffocation, Early Cannibal Corpse up untill 1994, Origin, Nile, Morbid Angel, Aborted, Dying Fetus, Pyrexia, Brujeria (hahaha they're mexican), Vehemence, Cryptopsy, Broken Hope, Malevolent Creation, Autopsy, Death, Decapitated, Gorguts, Gorerotted, and of course the ones who started it all; Obituary
Black Metal - I'd definately start it off with the creators themselves; Venom, Possessed, Mayhem, Murdok, Thorns, Dark Funeral, Akercocke, and of course my personal favorite; Emperor (Cradle of Filth blows ass so dont even suggest them)
Power Metal - Nothing but Maiden and Motorhead. For the more modern forms of Power Metal, I'd weigh it down with Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity (everything past the album blind, ESPECIALLY their newest one, In The Arms of God), Brand New Sin, the two albums from Fear Factory; Demanufacture and Obsolete, Damage Plan, later Sepultura (Chaos A.D. [1994] and on), Symphony X, Spiral Architect, System of a Down (say what you want about their popularity and a majority of their fans, but they are extremely fucking original and have an AMAZING chemistry as a band that makes for awesome albums and even better live performances), Entombed, White Zombie, and of course the one and only Nevermore
Grindcore - Napalm Death, Carcass, Anal Cunt, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel's first album (Altars of Madness [1989]), and maybe some Black Star if i can ever find their album
"Hardcore" - Fuck you emo fucks, this isnt even metal. Dillenger Escape plan blows; having lots of distortion and yelling with a horrible voice not suitible for anything else but crying isnt metal. Pussies.
Industrial - Bile, Ministry, and the occasional Static X (off their first album only, Wisconsin Death Trip [1999]) or MSI song (something like Clarissa, or 7-11) nothing else really needed in my opinion.
There's obviously so many more bands and albums id play but i'm too tired to think of them
