exam stress is over... well almost. i'm not sure how well it went so i'll probably worry until i get my results. i do have an essay due next week though so i can't really relax. luckily it's not really a toughie.
on a positive note, i got onto the broadcast journalism post-grad at sheffield! this means i can stay here and be happy! i do love history but don't want to be an academic so i'm glad i'm going to be doing something far more focused. everyone had an aptitude test on current affairs and an interview and i did the best in the first part out of everyone apparently. that's what doing the g2 crossword everyday with a brief break to read the news has done for me.
i met this hilarious irish man at work who asked me to help on his radio show on sheffield live so that's exciting. he said he didn't mind that i wasn't irish; apparently the fact that i'm northern and my family were all coalminers is pretty much the same thing. any experience is worth doing at the moment considering i haven't sorted out my bbc placement yet.
