i'm back
1 month. 7 countries, only one or two of which we actually planned to visit in the first place. our plans changed drastically when we had a royal fuck-up involving the car rental company being DOUCHENOZZLES (more on that in the big trip recap post), but long story short, after a week in berlin engaging in completely awesome activities (berlin is now in my top three favorite cities, after vancouver and kyoto), we wound up driving through germany, the czech republic, and austria for the first two weeks of our vacation, then changing gears and taking a train (which, much to our dismay, was not like the orient express at all. it was, in fact, the anti-orient express. again, more on that later. i don't feel like reliving it now.) through hungary, romania, and bulgaria all the way to (drumroll please) ISTANBUL. which fucking ROCKED. we spent two weeks in turkey sightseeing all down the coast (gallipoli, troy, ephesus, pamukkale), had buttloads of fun and geekery, and then flew our asses back home.
i am so fucking tired i could die but i have to stay awake till my parents come back with food. D:
