my head hurts a lot. maybe its from starring at the computer for too long. maybe.

i think my dad is seriously considering getting a dslr! i'm excited cuz that means i can use it too. c:
he's making me research for cameras and our budget is under $700 including the lens and accessories.
so i've narrowed it down to the Canon Rebel XSi and the Nikon D80.
the XSi is 2 years newer than the D80, therefore, it has newer technology. it's also about $100 cheaper than the D80. but i've heard complaints about the XSi having focusing issues... but that doesn't have to do with the body of the camera, yes? and it's not like there are 3049543 people complaining about the focus, so i just hope that i'm not one of the 0.1% of people that get a crappy lens.
but the D80 has a very good reputation because of the fact that its 2-3 years older than the XSi. apparently its build is better than the XSi and its viewfinder is bigger and brighter. but i dont even know anymore. both cameras are good, so i guess i'll go with the cheaper one? i could also get two lenses with the XSi instead of one with the D80 to fit our budget. :D
