Shopping For a Grad School
Notre Dame is good for philosophy of religion, which could be fun; then again, I could shoot for somewhere even better like Harvard (ranked as the #6 Ph.D. program in Philosophy by the Philosophical Gourmet). I think I would prefer to go somewhere, though, that emphasizes philosophy of mind and philosophy of language as well as my favorite, metaphysics. This leaves me wanting one of the other top ten graduate schools like New York University or Princeton; I just wonder whether I compete with the best minds in the country.
In order to do that, I have to show that I have something unique to offer philosophy, which is still uncertain...
