15 minutes

Everything's relative, you know?  15 minutes between the alarm and the snooze this morning was almost pure torture- i was so comfy and wanted to roll over and doze off for a few minutes, but my sinuses decided that they still hate me and I had to get up after just a couple minutes.  This past weekend, though, 15 minutes withg Rich's mom and I feel like this wedding thing is easy as cakepie.  No sweat! Stress evaporated!  I wish I could do a few things differently, but them's the breaks.

Here's the thing: people keep telling me that it's "my day" and I should "do whatever I want to"  except that that's ratpoop.  It  ISN'T my day.  It's a day for our families and our community to publicly recognize the formation of a new family unit.  That's it.  If it was my day it would involve filling out some online form in the back corner of some state website and then playing video games, something like that.  As in something I don't even have to put on pants for, let alone an expensive dress that requires fancy support garments.  (the dress IS gorgous, though.)

Ah well.  That's enough whining.  It'll be fun, and I'll probably enjoy it about as much as I enjoy conventions- which is to say I'll have fun but man will I be glad when it's over.  Any suggestions for the iPod DJ's playlist are welcome!  Sp far we have giant robot theme somgs and the somg from a Korean flash cartoon about a cat and a bunny.  I am thinking maybe we should branch out a bit...  ;)
