Well, Erin is/was SisterElwood. In her normal maneuverings, right after she sent me a rude OM, she turned off comments, PMs, and decided to delete her LJ as an afterthought. She's still on journalfen.

She made Wendy actually cry, in addition to being a general shit to her. She's the one who wanted to retroactively make her character in SUI a child molester. She was just fine with that white power crap Heather spewed. But she also thinks she's a bfd over at fandom wank.

Well, speaking of wank, the Turimel story is long. Way long. Do you need links, or do you want to google Victoria Bitter yourself? I'm cool with links.

Condensing it though, apparently agreeing with Turimel that Andrew Blake (current alias) is a scumbag extraordinaire makes me transphobic. Ignore the fact that I only doubt the validity of his name, not his gender ID. Turimel refuses to even do that, and some jackasses in general seem to think that calling a liar a liar outranks being a sociopath. I don't think she OUGHT to refuse the gender ID, but if I were her, I'd have a hard time thinking anything Thanfiction (hey, LJ names will work) says is true.

If you're issue is with the person themselves, and is unrelated to their trans status, you are not necessarily transphobic. :)

Aside from that, if you'd shown transphobic tendencies, you wouldn't be on my 'trusted' list in my LJ filter. Which, you know, you are.

My problem with Thanfiction is that he's a lying scumbag douche - but after looking at his situation, I don't think he's lying about his gender ID. That's where I have my only sympathies for him.

But when people I've never met, like misachan weighs in with a "wow. Neojess is a transphobe," and when I contact her to ask wtf, she says "I don't care, I looked at that thread and I've decided you were. I won't change my mind," it's kind of lame. She even admitted that the ONLY thing she's read is this latest thread over on ONE journalfen snark. Nice, hunh?

This was based on the fact that I put quotes around Thanfiction's current alias. Not his gendered pronouns, just the alias. This is the same guy who made a fake birth certificate with the name "Jordan Wood" so he could pretend to be Elijah Wood's cousin. This is the guy who claims to be an IRA vet (both sides of the conflict!) But doubting that that is his name makes me a transphobe.

However, she's perfectly cool with sisterelwood, who uses the same username everywhere - and who's weighed in with self-righteous rage - who I booted from my flist initially, because she was cool with a white power thing. So, racist=good, doubting the legality of a known liar's current username=transphobe.

I PMed her, and she really is stuck on "I don't care. You are." Nice.

I should stop doubting the quality of my friends and letting the opinion of people who turn out to be the sort I wouldn't WANT to be friends with influence my moods.

I'm glad I'm on that filter, because frankly, when you have a milestone, it makes me happy. Well, not just that, but when things go right for you in any way. Also, you know, cats and dolls. <3
