Ah, the BMV
This week, I have goals. And today has been a good start to these goals. I suppose the goals can be broken down into a simple statement of - I want to be able to drive by this weekend. So, being an industrious faggot, I went to the BMV today. I shelled out cash, I filled out forms, and I picked up my permit package. I've skimmed through the book already and all seems well there. I have driven before in this state, but nothing legal, and not often. In any case, I'll actually read the book from cover to cover once to assimilate all of the wonderful knowledge in it. Probably tonight.
Why tonight? I'll be calling tomorrow before work to try and work out exactly how soon I can get into the test itself for my license. The only real issue on that one is I need to find a car to take it in. My brother would let me use his, but I'd need a bit of time to deal with the learning curve of a TA. The best option is to bother my father for use of his Mitsubishi for the test. It's mid-size, handles very well, and would generally be the best bet. It's just managing to get him to agree to this. Well, wish me the best of luck, eh? Permit down, license to go, insurance next. I can do this by this weekend.
