O_O

I went looking for the other FMP novels to buy-- HOLY SHIT, HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN OUT-OF-PRINT? Seriously, even on amazon they're, lyke, $100 a pop. I CANNOT AFFORD THAT.

I found them all on Borders, but books 2 and 3 are backordered... which means I may not get them at all. D: NUUUUU~

Edit: Just kidding, 1 is on backorder, too. D< And so is Strawberry Panic novel 3! WHYYYYYYYYYY?! *sobs*

I was afraid of that. They've been OOP for two or three years... That's why I didn't feature them on my video recommendations, if you recall. However, I can't imagine they would issue new volumes without restocking the previous ones. So I'm thinking you'll probably be seeing the first three restocked around the same time the fourth/fifth come out. Then again, this is Tokyopop we're talking about. They can be kind of "special" sometimes. :C

Er, I regret to inform you that Seven Seas has cancelled all of their light novels. There isn't going to be a third volume of Strawberry Panic released. I'm very sorry. But they're releasing a spiffy omnibus of the manga soon! Yay?

Yeah, I was hoping that would be the case-- the restocking thing. But we'll see. D:

What?! Well, Borders still had it listed online... I guess they'll have to reimburse me for that. (...again.) WTF, omnibus of the manga? They only put out, lyke, TWO volumes.

Seven Seas created an ISBN for it, so that's probably why Borders still has it in their system. Amazon, too. But Seven Seas definitely stopped production of their light novels. Who knows, maybe they'll pick them up again once the economy turns around. They still have the licenses, after all...

Well, poo. I really wanted to know what happened... Oh well. Maybe I'll just re-watch the anime...

I prefer the anime to the novels/manga, actually. I feel it's got better pacing...

I can't really compare 'em, 'cause they tell the same story via different genres, I feel...

Different genres? How so?

The manga focuses more on comedy, the anime on soap opera-worthy angst/drama, and the novels were more a balance of the two.

Hmm, yeah. I guess I prefer the anime's approach to the relationships because they take a bit longer to form... The couples seem to hook up so quickly in the novels/manga! (The novels more so than the manga, now that I stop to think about it.)

I like all three, of course. But if I could only choose one to bring with me on a desert island: anime, definitely.

I'd take the anime, too... if only because it's the only completed medium, of the three! XD; (Well, for English-speaking audiences, anyway...)

BTW, have you seen http://www.youtube.com/user/Yunafan64 's SP parody vids? They're usually pretty funny. :D
