Fact check: Beeton's Christmas Annual, the publication in which A Study in Scarlet was first distributed, really was much smaller than what was to be Sherlock's eventual home in the Strand Magazine. This story is also the first of only four Sherlock Holmes novels, the most famous of which being the third, The Hound of the Baskervilles - which Kuroshitsuji's anime adaptation has already paid homage to.
Ciel's description of Holmes sounds rather like Sebastian, don't you think? c:
